THE POST

The College is working on a project to rationalise the storage of pupil and staff leaver files across the nursery, pre-prep & prep, and senior school. During the summer of 2019, we aim to put the previous academic years’ pupil and staff leaver files in order of leaving date, and reorganise the storage of current files. This is quite a big project and so we are looking for people to join us. We anticipate the work will take between two and three weeks, starting approximately 8th July.

Based on the contents of the files, those working on the project will be fully briefed on handling confidential material, and adhering to data protection regulations. You will also be required to sign a confidentiality agreement. Flexibility is key.

Key Responsibilities

Leading a small team sorting pupil and staff leaver files into an organised system. This will include:
Overseeing the work of the team to ensure accuracy and a logical flow of work.
Working with the team to physically sort files, which will have come from various locations and will be in many boxes.
Reviewing the files against existing school data.
Creating an up-to-date catalogue of sorted files.
Updating the catalogues for the previous years’ files.
Packaging the files appropriately, including clear and accurate labelling.
Assisting with the relocation of boxed files to storage, and updating the locations spreadsheet.

Any other reasonable management requests.

Key Skills
Excellent organisation and planning skills.
Ability to manage and direct a team.
A working knowledge of Excel and Word.

A working knowledge of Word.
An understanding of manual handling – training will be given.
You need to recognise that this work will include lifting boxes, and will involve getting a little dirty!
